Hare- Bhare methi-aloo

Sardiya bas jane ko hai. So, I thought to prepare saag wale aaloo. my husaband does nt like to eat tomato, methi etc. N guess what, in order to make him eat these all healthy veggies, I came up with this. Try this U will really love this. Dont believe me?? Ask my husband....
here is the recipe for you..
u will need the following:
2 medium sized potatoes, 300 gm methi leaves, 100 gm bathua, 1 large onion, 1 small tomato, 2 table spoon green peas, ½ tspn turmeric powder, ½ tspn red chilli powder,1 tspn ginger-garlic paste, 1 tspn garam masala, 1 tbspn curd, 2 tbspn mustard oil, 1 dry red chilli, salt to taste.
Now, wash methi & bathua leaves. Cut them. Cut onion lengthwise. Cut small square pieces of tomato. Peel & cut potatoes in pieces, ½ inches cubes. wash them & keep aside. mix curd with 3-4 tbspn of water.
Now, heat the kadai properly. Put oil. Break dry red chilli in two pieces & put it in heated oil. Put onion & fry till golden brown.put ginger garlic paste n fry for 1 more minute. Keep low flame & put potatoes in it. Put green peas in it & cook for 5 minutes.put methi & bathua leaves. Mix well. Put all the remaining spices except garam masal & salt. Mix properly. Also put tomatoes. Cook for 2 more minutes. Put curd-water in it & mix well. Cover kadai with a lid. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Now put salt & garam masala N then cover it again. Cook for two more minutes.
Here comes yummy hare- bhare potatoes. Best served with rotis or saade paranthe.


Tip of the Day: use fresh methi & bathua leaves. Don't use kasoori methi.
