Aloo ki rasse wali sabji; Bina Pyaj ki

I have been thinking for a while to sometimes make a quick post.. Finally today is d day.. :)
We have lots of fasting festivals; where the person has to eat without onion, garlic, ginger..and so on ; a day before the actual fasting day like teej, chhath...and so on.
So, today's post can help them.
It taste great when combined with plain pooris.

U will Need: 4-5 medium boiled potatoes, 3 medium half raw desi tamatar(finely chopped), 2 chutki rai, 1 spn jeera, 3 dry red chilli (broken into 2-3 pieces), 2 chutki heeng, 1 spn coriander powder, 1 spn red chilli powder, 1tspn turmeric powder, 2tbspn chopped green coriander leaves, cooking oil and salt.

Heat oil in kadai. Add rai. when it splutter, add jeera followed by dry red chillies. Add heeng. Add peeled and chopped potatoes. Stir for 5 minutes on highest medium flame;so that Potatoes will absorb the flavours of spices. Add Chopped tomatoes. Saute it well. Keep the flame medium. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder turmeric powder and salt. Saute for 5-8 minutes. Add a glass of water. Once it starts boiling, Turn the flame to sim and leave for 7-8 minutes with lid on. U r done.
Add chopped coriander leaves. cover it for 2 minutes. Mix it. Serve.

Tip of the Day: Don't boil potato too much; keep it a little hard. Try using kashmiri lal mirch for better colour. If u r using raw potatoes, cook in pressure cooker.
