You all will agree that on weekends u want to prepare something special in breakfast. But we mostly wake up late on holidays. This is one of those special which I cook when I want to have something special but dont wanna spend much time cooking.
As most of my other cuisines, I tasted it first during my engg hostel days.
Over time. I have made many variations to it depending upon the ingredients available at home. But this is I think the better one so far. So here we are.. :)
U will Need: A small bowl of chana daal Besan, a small bunch of Spring onions (green leafy onions), 1 large tomatoes, 1 medium carrot,a pinch of turmeric powder, 2 green chillies, a tspn ajwain, Salt & Cooking refined oil.
Wash the Spring-Onions. Chop it finely. Chop the tomatoe & chillies too. Grate the carrot.
Add water to the besan bowl. Make a smooth semi-thick paste. It should nt be very liquid like neither paste like. Add all the ingredients to it.
Take a non-stick pan. Heat it. Spread oil on it. Add the besan mix liquid to the pan and spread it.
Cook both sides using a little oil.
Serve it with any green chutney.
Tip of The Day: Add 1-2 tbspn of rice-flour to make it crispier. Once I sprinkled mashed paneer after spreading the mix in pan & it tasted great. U may try that sometimes. If u dont have spring onions, use the normal ones but then dont forget to add chopped coriander leaves, that will ensure the color variety.
